The 16 most popular Aha! features launched in Q4 2024
How do you deliver exactly what customers want, as quickly as possible? We call that MLP, or Minimum Lovable Product: a concept that we helped pioneer over a decade ago. Well, that is what Q4 felt like. We focused on what you asked for and did our best to deliver the functionality with no delay.
In Q4 of 2024, we introduced features based on what you requested to streamline how you work — from additions to our AI assistant and customer satisfaction (CSAT) polls to enhanced product dashboards and beyond.
Empowering everyone involved in product development to collaborate effectively is critical to achieving your strategic plans and delivering value to customers. That is why we made it possible to bring additional users into your Aha! Roadmaps account so they can create notes and whiteboards. This establishes a single place for all your product planning and teamwork. (Bonus: Consolidating tools helps save costs.) We also integrated whiteboards more deeply into our software with the introduction of Aha! shapes: a powerful new way to turn concepts into detailed roadmaps in a single step.
We continued to innovate with AI across our product suite to help you work more efficiently. From detecting and merging duplicate requests in Aha! Ideas to generating wireframes in Aha! Whiteboards and answering questions with the AI assistant in Aha! Knowledge, our goal is to save you time and make your workday smoother. In a similar vein, enhancements such as the new Time in status reporting fields in Aha! Roadmaps and the cumulative flow diagram in Aha! Develop provide better visibility into where work gets held up.
Streamlining document management remained a major focus. Many of you use our knowledge base functionality to centralize product resources and share them with customers and colleagues. We reached an exciting milestone by fully migrating the Aha! support site to Aha! Knowledge — go check it out! It is a great example of how we use our own software to continuously improve and deliver a better experience for you.
Here are the highlights from Q4 2024:
New in Aha! Roadmaps
Key updates to dashboards and whiteboards make it easier to uncover insights and explore concepts throughout the product development process.
Drill deeper into dashboards: Explore detailed product data by drilling into the underlying information on any chart — without leaving your dashboard. Use new filters such as feature status, assignee, or custom fields to create a single dashboard that teams can easily tailor to their needs.
Track workflow bottlenecks: Use three new reporting fields to see how long tasks spend in each workflow status. Spot bottlenecks, meet SLA targets, and boost efficiency (also available in Aha! Ideas and Aha! Develop).
Centralize your whiteboards: Find and access your most recently viewed whiteboards on the new whiteboards homepage in the Knowledge section of your workspace. Quickly create new whiteboards from a blank canvas or start with an expert template.
New in Aha! Ideas
Simplify idea management with new features that help you organize feedback, measure CSAT, and route quick fixes directly to engineering.
Organize ideas with AI: Use the AI assistant to quickly identify and merge similar ideas. Keep your ideas backlog tidy and spend more time deciding which ideas to implement.
Launch CSAT polls: Collect CSAT scores directly in your product with a 0-10 scale and optional follow-up questions. Use the insights you get to prioritize improvements to boost happiness.
Streamline small fixes: Send bugs straight to engineering with the new Aha! Ideas and Jira integration — no need to promote them to features first.
New in Aha! Whiteboards
Going from exploration to implementation is easier than ever with powerful new tools for turning bold ideas into actionable plans.
Visualize and act with Aha! shapes: Use shapes to represent work items such as goals, initiatives, ideas, releases, epics, and features. When ready, convert them directly into records in Aha! Roadmaps, Aha! Ideas, or Aha! Develop.
Create record relationships: Build hierarchies by nesting child shapes or connecting related shapes. These relationships stay intact when you convert your whiteboard concepts into actionable plans.
Use AI to speed up brainstorming: The AI assistant helps generate wireframes from a text prompt or image, summarizes themes from brainstorming sessions, and handles tasks such as grouping, sorting, and arranging shapes.
New in Aha! Knowledge
We focused on making it easier to centralize documents and help customers find information faster.
Import Microsoft Word documents: In addition to importing directly from Confluence, you can now bring Word documents into your knowledge base for a truly centralized hub.
Speed up searches with the AI assistant: New AI-powered search in Aha! Knowledge Advanced lets customers ask questions and get instant summaries with direct links to relevant content — so answers are always easy to find.
Embed your knowledge base in your app: Publish documentation directly in your application, allowing customers to access helpful articles without leaving your product.
New in Aha! Develop
We introduced new ways to help product and engineering teams stay aligned and share key delivery data seamlessly.
Streamline handoffs from product to engineering: Choose exactly where product work appears in Aha! Develop — such as the team's prioritized backlog, a planned sprint, or the workflow board. Track progress in Aha! Roadmaps automatically, with no need for manual updates or field mapping.
Improve visibility with agile reports: Embed reports, (think: the velocity report or sprint burndown charts from Aha! Develop) into dashboards and documents in Aha! Roadmaps. And share sprint and release retrospective as webpages to keep everyone informed.
Spot bottlenecks with cumulative flow: Use the new cumulative flow diagram to visualize how work moves through your process, identify bottlenecks, and make improvements to speed up delivery.
Every update we deliver is designed to help you work smarter, move faster, and make a greater impact in 2025.
