Add colleagues who need to create notes and whiteboards in Aha! Roadmaps

by Claire George

We just introduced two new options to give everyone involved in the product development process — including product, engineering, UX, product marketing, sales, and customer support — a way to create and collaborate more effectively in Aha! Roadmaps. And your colleagues can now do this without needing to pay for an Aha! Roadmaps seat. In turn, you can establish a single place for all your product planning and teamwork.

Bring additional users into your Aha! Roadmaps account so they can create notes and whiteboards. This empowers everyone at your organization to work closely together to plan, build, and deliver lovable products.

If you are on the Aha! Roadmaps Enterprise or Enterprise+ plan, you can already add unlimited reviewers and viewers to your account at no additional cost. This enables you to give stakeholders visibility into your strategic plans and share important product documents. But you told us that it would be useful to give some colleagues the ability to create their own notes and whiteboards — so they can contribute to the product development process more meaningfully.

Today's launch provides two options for bringing additional users into your Aha! Roadmaps account:

  • Add Aha! Knowledge Essentials users ($18 per user per month in the annual plan) to give colleagues the ability to create new documents — including notes, whiteboards, and meetings — and edit existing ones in selected workspaces.

  • Add Aha! Whiteboards Essentials users ($9 per user per month in the annual plan) to give colleagues the ability to create new whiteboards and edit existing documents in selected workspaces.

These users will also be able to browse through key sections of Aha! Roadmaps — including strategy, releases, ideas, features, and roadmaps — in the workspaces they have permission to access. This opens up collaboration with a wider group of stakeholders without needing to make everyone a full Aha! Roadmaps user. (It is also a great way to consolidate tools and save costs.)

Note that if you upgrade your Aha! Roadmaps account to include Aha! Knowledge Advanced or Aha! Whiteboards Advanced, everyone in your account will need to be on the same plan. Not sure which option best fits your needs? Talk to our product experts anytime.

Let's take a closer look at how these new options drive effective collaboration:

Add Aha! Knowledge Essentials users

Empower everyone to contribute important product-related information. In the example below, the product marketing team for Fredwin Cycling (a fictitious fitness app) is documenting plans for an upcoming go-to-market launch. Capturing this information in the same workspace that product management uses to build the roadmap and prioritize features helps everyone work closely together to ensure a successful launch.

Upgrade to Aha! Knowledge Advanced to access additional capabilities, such as sophisticated document permissions and the ability to publish product knowledge bases.

Add Aha! Whiteboards Essentials users

Make product innovation a team sport. Below, the UX team for Fredwin Cycling created a whiteboard to think through a new customer experience. Having easy access to relevant feature descriptions helps the team design an intuitive flow that meets user requirements. From here, key stakeholders can jump in to share feedback and align on how the new functionality should work before moving on to high-fidelity designs.

Upgrade to Aha! Whiteboards Advanced to unlock configurable wireframe components and voting.

The new add-on user options are now available to all Aha! Roadmaps Enterprise and Enterprise+ customers. So go ahead and bring everyone at your organization together to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Ready to get started? If you are an administrator with billing permissions, you can add new Aha! Knowledge Essentials and Aha! Whiteboards Essentials users by contacting our Customer Success team. Once you add them in, you can control which workspaces these users have access to. (If you have questions, please reach out! We are eager to help.)
