Share velocity reports and sprint retrospectives in Aha! Roadmaps
Agile reports are not just for engineering. Sharing development insights — like velocity over time — with the broader product team gives everyone a clear view of progress. The added transparency drives smarter decision-making and aligns everyone on how to plan for the future. This is why we are introducing new ways to see and share key agile reports.
Share velocity reports and sprint retrospectives created in Aha! Develop with the broader product team in Aha! Roadmaps to increase visibility into engineering team progress.
Bringing Aha! Develop and Aha! Roadmaps closer together has been a major focus for us. We want to ensure your team can easily assess development performance and coordinate efforts effectively. Recently, we introduced the ability to share sprint burndown charts created in Aha! Develop to dashboards and documents in Aha! Roadmaps. Now, we are expanding our sharing options to include velocity reports and sprint retrospectives as well, so you can incorporate this data into product updates too. (You must be on the Aha! Develop Advanced plan — contact us for a demo.)
When accessing these reports in Aha! Develop, you will find new options in the share menu. You can now add velocity reports directly to dashboards, notes, and whiteboards in Aha! Roadmaps. You can also share sprint retrospective reports (and release retrospective reports) as webpages, improving visibility for teammates outside of your Aha! account.
Let's take a closer look at what you can do:
Analyze team velocity
The velocity report in Aha! Develop compares completed work to committed work, then calculates the team’s average velocity in story points or time. This helps you track productivity sprint-over-sprint and set capacity more accurately in the future.
In the example below, we created a dashboard in Aha! Roadmaps to review product development performance over the last three months. We added the velocity report at the top of the dashboard, along with sprint burndown charts from each sprint. This makes it easier to analyze delivery trends and identify opportunities to improve our processes.
Review past performance
The sprint retrospective report offers a useful summary of plans versus actual results. It features the sprint burndown chart and provides detailed breakdowns of completed work, unfinished work, and any features added or removed during the sprint. This gives you everything needed for a thorough and insightful sprint analysis.
Below, in preparation for our sprint retrospective meeting, we shared the retrospective report as a webpage and included the link in our meeting notes. This allows everyone to review the data in advance, ensuring a productive discussion on what went well and how we can do better next time.
Build greater transparency into development progress, so everyone has the information they need to make better choices.
Sharing reports is just one of the ways you can bring product and engineering closer when you use Aha! Roadmaps with Aha! Develop. Using these tools together gives engineering teams a clear view of the product roadmap, so it is easier to weigh in on product decisions and understand the "why" behind them. We would love to show you how it works — let us know if you would like a demo or a free trial.
