Our new Aha! to Slack integration gives you even more control over the notifications you send out, keeping the team informed about what is happening and when.
Use the new Aha! to Slack integration to receive important product notifications from Aha! Roadmaps and Aha! Ideas in the Slack channel of your choice.
We recently introduced a new Aha! from Slack integration to optimize how you create records in Aha! Roadmaps and Aha! Ideas right from Slack. And today, we are streamlining how you send notifications from Aha! to Slack.
You could already choose a Slack channel as well as the record type(s) and standard fields you want to include, which creates a live activity stream for communicating product updates. Now, you can better filter those updates — ensuring the team only receives the most important notifications.
To get started, install the new Aha! to Slack integration at the account or workspace level. You can then select your Slack channel and configure notifications. For example, you can get a notification only when a new idea is submitted or get feature updates only when new functionality actually ships.
As part of this update, we also made notifications easier to read in Slack. The team can quickly scan the details before opening the record in your Aha! account.
Let's take a closer look at how you can use the new integration:
Stay on top of customer requests
Imagine that you use an ideas portal to capture customer feedback. You want to make sure the right product team receives a notification when new ideas related to its product area are submitted. In the example below, we set a filter based on the idea category to ensure each team only receives relevant notifications in its Slack channel. This ensures teammates can quickly review and respond to every request.
Updates move from Aha! to Slack after five minutes to reduce unnecessary noise.
Communicate feature status
Inform the team as soon as new functionality is released. Below, we created a #new-features Slack channel. The team will receive a notification whenever a feature's status changes to Shipped in Aha! Roadmaps. This helps everyone keep up with the latest product enhancements — no matter how big or small.
Anyone with access to your Slack channel will be able to see its activity, regardless of whether they have access to that information in your Aha! account.
You already look to Slack for timely updates that matter. Now, you can ensure essential product information gets shared there as well.
