Gain New Customer Revenue Insights in Aha! Ideas
How do you prioritize which customer ideas to implement? You can look at top-voted ideas in your Aha! ideas portal, review voting trends, and analyze customer segments. There are also financial realities to weigh — like meeting the needs of your largest customers. Given that lens, we wanted to help tie a customer's ideas to the revenue they provide to your company.
So we added a new revenue field to organization records in Aha! Ideas Advanced. You can capture how much each customer spends with your company via the Salesforce integration, Aha! API, CSV import, or manually. Then visit the Votes tab to automatically see the total revenue from all companies who voted for an idea. You can also include the new field in the ideas prioritization page and other reports — so you can quickly assess the importance of ideas based on account size.

Get started by adding the new revenue field to your organization custom field layout. (If you are already using a custom field to capture this data, we recommend changing to the standard field so you can take advantage of the revenue calculation functionality.) Once populated, view the total revenue alongside other key insights — such as the overall vote count, how many organizations voted for an idea, and the opportunity amount associated with a specific idea — to make informed prioritization decisions.

See the revenue behind the customers requesting an idea. In the example below, you can see that 12 organizations voted for this idea — collectively these organizations generate more than $500,000 in revenue for our company. Click "view report" to see how that spend breaks down by organization

Prioritize efficiently
Include the new Idea votes organization revenue field in your reports. Here, we added the new revenue field to the ideas prioritization page. Now we can see our top ideas sorted by product value score alongside the related revenue, organization count, and total votes — giving us a deeper understanding of the need and impact.
No single data point tells you what makes an idea valuable. But the more you understand the customers — and the business impact — behind each idea, the better you can prioritize the features that will bring the most value.
