Just Launched — Sync Aha! Releases With Rally Milestones
“Are we still releasing next week?” “No, the launch date was changed in Rally three days ago.” When product plans change, you need to know. But you should not have to ask around or venture into the development system to find out the latest details. Now you do not have to. We just added a new way to automatically track delivery dates by syncing Aha! releases with Rally milestones — so information stays in sync across both.
Aha! releases now sync with Rally milestones — automatic updates that will keep everyone aligned on the latest deployment schedule.
If you already use our Rally integration, then you know that it supports sending over Aha! initiatives, releases, master features, features, and requirements. These Aha! records can be mapped to user stories, portfolio items, and releases in Rally.
Until today, however, milestones were not an option in our integration. This meant you had to manually update your Rally milestones when Aha! release dates changed. Now you have an option in the Rally integration setup to bi-directionally map Aha! releases with Rally milestones.
Here is how to start using this enhancement:
Map Aha! releases to Rally milestones Owners in Aha! product and marketing workspaces can add and configure integration settings. In the mappings step of the integration setup, add a new record mapping. Just set the mapping to sync Aha! releases to Rally milestones — so you always know that dates are correct in each system.
The following field mappings are available from Rally when syncing milestones: Name, Target date, Description, and Notes.
Always see the latest dates After you save and enable the integration, you are ready for seamless communication between your product and development systems and teams. Go ahead and update dates for when you will ship each release — knowing those dates will automatically update in Rally for everyone to see.
Moving a feature from one Aha! release to another will also update the assigned milestone in Rally.
