Just Launched! — New Search Bar on the Features Board
Every second counts — especially when you are waiting. So, when we tested out the new search bar on the features board we were delighted with the super fast results. It took us .02 seconds to search hundreds of features spread across multiple releases. Regardless of how many features you have on your board, the new search functionality will save you lots of time.
The new search bar instantly filters the features board to match your query as you type.
We know product teams love using the features board to stay on top of details and release progress. But you told us that when you have hundreds of features in different stages of planning and implementation, it can be hard to find the one you need. So, we created a new way to locate features — you can search by feature name, ID, or status.
Here is how you can find a feature in .02 seconds:
Search by name You can search for any text included on your customized feature card layout. Imagine, for example, you are looking for a feature that contains the word “profile.” As you type, the board instantly filters to features that match this query.
Control+F (Command+F on a Mac) will automatically move your cursor to the search bar.
Search by ID Some teammates may know an ID but not a feature name. The ID could be the one that Aha! generates or one from your development system. So, you can search by ID now as well. This way, the next time you are asked, “What is the status of user story FCJ-77?” — you can quickly respond.
Include the ID from your development system integration on your feature card layout to make it searchable on your features board.
Search by status You can also use the search bar to filter features by status. The example below shows how you can search for features that are ready for PM review — allowing you to focus solely on the work that needs your attention.
Features are filtered from the board when you search. All releases will remain visible.
Teams rely on product managers to be the keepers of the product plan. Now you can pinpoint and share feature details faster than ever.
Of course, you can still use global search (located in the main navigation on the far right) to search all Aha! records. With global search, you can also add in Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to further narrow your results.
