Just Launched! — Instantly Share Notes as Secure Webpages With Your Team
Meeting agendas. Customer interviews. Sprint retrospectives. These are just a few types of information teams need to capture and share. This is why we created special note templates for these content types. But sometimes you need to share notes with teammates who are not yet using Aha! — folks in sales, support, partners, and even customers. Now you can.
Now you can quickly generate a link to a note and share it as an external webpage with just one click.
Notes are a simple yet powerful way to document information. You can create and edit content collaboratively, as well as add comments, @mentions, and to-dos for teammates to weigh in. Notes are available at every level of your workspace hierarchy, so teams can easily organize and share knowledge.
For new customers, the ability to share notes is the default setting. Existing customers can enable the share as webpage option for saved views and notes in account settings (if it is not already enabled for sharing views). There is also a new external sharing section where administrators can see all calendars, webpages, and presentations that are shared externally.
Once sharing is enabled, anyone in your account can share a note as a webpage. This update applies to notes created at the workspace level only, not personal notes. (You can always convert personal notes into workspace notes if you need to.)
Ready to get started? Here is how you can share notes with anyone:
Add content
Create a note in your workspace and add whatever information is important to you and your team. Choose from six prebuilt templates to get started or build a note from scratch. Be sure to take advantage of all the text editor options — add a table, attach a mockup, and link to other Aha! records. In the example below, we used the customer interview template to capture insights from a user.
Generate a link
When you are done adding content, select the new option to share as a webpage. Enabling sharing here will generate a secure link. Uncheck the box to make the link inaccessible if you no longer want it shared. You can always check the box again and generate a new unique link to send out.
Share your note
The information on the shared webpage will update automatically as you make changes to the note. Here is an example of a customer interview note — we custom branded it with a company logo.
