Just Launched! — Daily Digest Emails From Aha!
How do you get to zero emails in your inbox? Read on. We know that for many of you, Aha! is a friend, but a friend that sometimes has a bit too much to say. The type of friend who sends too many messages. It is possible that you do not need to immediately receive an email for each and every change that someone makes to a release or feature in Aha! All those emails are cluttering your inbox and making it hard to focus on what really needs your attention.
We want to make it easier for you to follow what you really care about and stop being notified about the rest. That is why today we are excited to give you complete control over what emails you receive and how frequently you receive them.
Greater control over email notifications was one of your most requested ideas. You can now choose whether you would like to be emailed instantly, hourly, daily, or not at all for each product. And you can customize how you are notified based on whether you are actively or passively involved in what is being worked on.
We also trimmed down the email notifications so that the digests only show product information that has changed, so that you can quickly identify the most important details.
Here are a few ways you can start using the improved email notification preferences:
Weekly summary Use the weekly summary email for a macro view of what the team has accomplished during the week and track progress towards your goals. To receive weekly summary emails, navigate to Settings Personal Notifications and select “Send” on the products for which you would like to receive a weekly summary email.
The weekly summary email is sent each Friday, recapping the week’s work.
Daily digest Maintain strategic alignment without cluttering your inbox by receiving a daily recap of what changed by product. Depending on your level of involvement, you can use this email notification to keep tabs on your product or to stay close to what is happening in other products across the portfolio.
Use the daily digest email to get a summary of changes to each product. The use of the → symbol highlights what has changed.
Hourly digest Hourly digests are great for staying informed more frequently. For example, this is probably the setting you want for a product that you actively work on so you can monitor progress more closely. You may appreciate a hybrid type of approach where you track your team’s work on features and releases you are watching with hourly digests. And you would still receive instant notifications on changes to records assigned to you. (See below.)
Receive hourly digests to keep up with what is happening across your product.
Instant updates Sometimes you do want to receive notifications right away so you can respond quickly. For example, when a customer comments on an idea you are working on, you may want to respond fast. You can do this by choosing instant notifications for records that are assigned to you.
By default, all notifications are set to send instantly.
Configuration For each product, you can set email preferences based on whether you are “watching” or “participating.” Watching means you have been added as a watcher on that record. Participating means you are assigned the record in Aha!
All users can set their own preferences, and Administrators with customization permissions can also update notification preferences for other users as well. And please note that if you are assigned a To-do, you will continue to be notified instantly, and those emails will not be affected by your notification preferences.
Navigate to Settings Personal Notifications to configure your preferences.
Having no new emails in your inbox is a goal for many people. And we hope this update will help you get a little closer to empty.
Now if we could just figure out how to reduce the number of meetings you have every day.
