Just Launched! — Instantly Analyze and Report on Your Product Plans
I have read and written a lot of product manager job descriptions over the years. One word every job has in common — “data.” Managing it, understanding it, presenting it. It is clear that data is vital to product management. You cannot have a successful product or business without it. But who wants to spend hours entering and manipulating data in spreadsheets?
Not us. That is why Aha! gives you the ability to analyze your product plans, data, and progress — all without having to enter the same information multiple times. Today we are excited to take that to the next level with something brand new — Related views.
Related views help you uncover new insights by dynamically suggesting useful data visualizations — roadmaps, reports, and charts that all relate to the data you are currently viewing.
Whether you are viewing a list of your strategic initiatives or assessing upcoming features, we now help you by instantly generating the best ways to visualize and analyze that data.
Once you discover all the beautiful views that you can generate, you will want to save and share them with your team. So we made improvements to how views are saved as well. Your saved roadmaps, reports, and charts can now be found in the drop-down menu under Saved views. No more fumbling to find what you are looking for — quickly filter and search within your Saved views to find the perfect visualization.
Here are some ways you can take advantage of these new capabilities (you can see how excited we are about this from the number of examples we are sharing!):
Communicate and visualize your strategy No matter what you are looking at in Aha!, when you select the new Views dropdown, you will find suggestions based on the data that is currently displayed. For example, in the image below Aha! is suggesting various roadmaps, reports, and charts related to product initiatives.
While on the Initiatives page, easily access Related views using the new Views dropdown.
Analyze and report on progress What about the filters you have applied to the current dataset? We have you covered. Below you can see a Releases roadmap filtered by product. When you select one of the Related views, that filter carries over to the pivot report as well. We are optimistic that you will find new ways to visualize progress with the suggested roadmaps, reports, and charts.
Make better prioritization decisions As product managers, we are always trying to make better prioritization decisions. The Aha! scorecard helps with that. Now you can go from looking at the individual scores on your Features board to looking at a powerful pivot report that shows the average feature score by release. Best of all — it does not require any additional configuration or manipulation by you.
Easily access beautiful charts We know charts are some of the most compelling visuals to communicate complex data. It is now possible to see available chart views no matter where you are in the Aha! application. The options change dynamically, based on what page you are viewing and what data is currently displayed.
Enter data once and instantly generate compelling visualizations — anywhere in Aha!
Collaborate with your team Saved views are essentially bookmarks that you create to quickly find views that you or your team use on a regular basis. And we know that you are going to create a lot of them. You can now search both your own Saved views as well as those that team members have shared with you.
Searching and sorting — now available on Saved views.
With Related views, we’ve unlocked the full power of our reporting and charting engine by placing compelling data visualizations front and center on every single page.
Data is important to building great products. And we know the pain of tediously updating spreadsheets and presentations. The Aha! team leaned on our 20-plus years of experience building lovable products and software companies to give you a large inventory of views to choose from.
You can now get even more insights from the data you enter in Aha! — all in an instant.
